In celebration, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (BGCSV) organizes an event that brings together female leaders from the community to help local girls develop confidence, courage, and essential life skills necessary to build great futures.

Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Vishnu S. Pendyala’s Cutting-Edge GenAI Research
Work funded by Research and Innovation and published in “Elsevier's Neurocomputing”, by an Applied Data Science professor and student Neha Thakur demonstrate that Generative AI can comprehend and correct their own errors when provided with compiler feedback. This study helps researchers and practitioners better understand the capabilities and limitations of code-focused LLMs.

Staff Spotlight: Vicky Van Leer is the 2024 IT Individual Sparta Awardee
This award is presented to individuals who go above and beyond their day-to-day duties and responsibilities. It demonstrates Van Leer’s commitment to IT and our university, but more importantly, to our people -- the students, faculty, and staff of SJSU. IT coworkers recognized Van Leer’s professionalism and willingness to jump in and help.
