Get Ready for Fall 2025 Weeks of Welcome (WOW)!

Join us for Weeks of Welcome (WOW) – a month-long celebration packed with 80+ exciting events happening all across SJSU, open to ALL currently enrolled students!

WOW kicks off the new academic year with a bang, running from Wednesday, August 20 to Friday, September 19. Whether you’re brand new to SJSU or a returning Spartan, WOW is your chance to get connected, make new friends, discover campus resources, and start the semester strong.

You might hear people call it “WOW” – and it’s just that: fun, energizing, and unforgettable. Each event is designed to help you thrive both inside and outside the classroom. So mark your calendar, bring your Spartan spirit, and get ready for a whole lot of WOW!

What is the Sammy App?

The San Jose State University app, also known as the Sammy App, brings services to your fingertips and enables you to connect with classmates and friends. Is Weeks of Welcome required?  

No, although it is encouraged! Attending WOW events is the best way to meet people and become better acquainted with campus and university resources.
